About the artist:
Maya Carves was born from love for mountains, rocky landscapes and the raw beauty of nature.
All stoneware pieces are made entirely by hand. When looking close you will be able to observe and enjoy charming irregularities in each piece.
All of the ceramic functional and decorative wares are hand-built, using different techniques like pinching, coil building slab building and kurinuki. Some of the pieces are made using the potter’s wheel and then textured and faceted by hand.
