A high-grade jasmine-scented green tea made from early spring “snow buds” (雪芽), delicately perfumed with fresh night-blooming jasmine flowers.
Produced by the Weiwei Tea Family (陈威威), who combine generations of tea craftsmanship with modern experimentation. Chen Weiwei originally comes from an accounting background, but through his partnership with his wife and her family, he became deeply involved in tea production. Together, they are dedicated to reviving a more refined and traditional category of premium jasmine tea through careful, small-batch scenting and experimentation with floral expressions.
A fragrant yet elegant jasmine tea with a soft, silky body and a clean floral finish.
Origin
Fuzhou, Fujian Province, Southern Coast of China (opposite of Taiwan)
Harvest
Spring 2024
Processing
The jasmine flowers are cultivated to bloom after sunset, releasing their most intense fragrance at night. Fresh blossoms are layered with the delicate Xue Ya (雪芽) green tea leaves in a traditional scenting process known as yìn (窨), repeated seven times. After each infusion, the flowers are removed and replaced with fresh blossoms to gradually build a pure, integrated aroma in the tea.
